Michael Francis – Principal

Mike Francis has 23 years in the mortgage banking industry and is a co-founder of ExMor Capital. Mike’s experience ranges from hedging and trading, capital markets and risk management to operations, product development and servicing sale strategies. For the past five years Mike has been instrumental in helping build the US Residential Mortgage Trading Desk at Morgan Stanley, and was responsible for daily rate sheet pricing, all forward flow transactions, product development and servicing sales.

In this role Mike worked directly with the top 300 mortgage bankers in the US and managed Morgan Stanley’s relationship with agencies and mortgage insurers.

Prior to Morgan Stanley Mike held senior management positions at Aurora Loan Services (Lehman Brothers) and Loan America. Mike has an education in computer science from Control Data Institute and The University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Mike holds series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Brent Buckmaster – Senior Trader

Brent Buckmaster has 6 years experience in the mortgage and investment banking industry. Brent’s expertise ranges from hedging, trading and pricing to capital markets and risk management.

Brent was an integral part in successfully building Morgan Stanley’s Residential Mortgage Trading Desk. As an Associate, Brent was responsible for daily hedging, risk reduction, mark-to-market and loan exceptions.
Prior to his move to Morgan Stanley, Brent was responsible for maintaining competitive funds pricing for VirtualBank. Brent successfully developed a mark-to-market model with unique reporting qualities, a best execution model, and a pricing model that were integral to VirtualBank’s operations. Brent has a BS from Florida State University.
